Meet the (Fockin') Catrals...Thanks, Facebook!

Yay, my first post! So, to carry on in the "love, marriage, and baby carriage" theme that Sol started, let me tell you about the wonders of Facebook and how it reunites long lost UFFSA members.

Facebook is a wondrous thing, no? Not only does it reunite you with old friends, but it keeps you abreast on what they're up to now. Since I've joined, and gotten others to join, I've reminisced about old times, flipped thru old pictures (many from my own website!), and caught up on people I havent heard from in years! Lell Gillette, Glenn Fajardo, Ee Tay, Justin Ahern, Bryan Almira and I have had a thread going for months, and we basically talk everyday! And thanks to Oscar Canonizado for creating the UFFSA Alumni group...I've even chatted with alums from other generations!

One day, I got the invite to Diana Hung's wedding in Orlando and started making plans to fly down from DC. Lell, Glenn Verceles and Bren Bondoc from our freshman clan were also invited. Seeing as I'm the anal retentive one of the group, I booked us a room and made sure we'd all get together. Gil and Lynn Catral had recently joined Facebook at the time...and had just produced their first offspring, Hayden! So, I also organized a lunch for all of us...thru Facebook.

I was the first to arrive, then GilLynn and baby Hayden. Glenn arrived soon after and we set into a huge sushi platter. We talked about who we've seen, who had kids, who got married, where we've traveled to, etc. Lell arrived, just off the jet, with Celestial Seasonings (fresh from the factory in Boulder) for everyone and a prarie dog for Hayden. Conversation was going great until someone brought up that night a certain roommate got drunk and puked sushi in my car. Lell's appetite was pretty much gone at that point. :P

On a side note, Jennifer Cabaliw made an appearance in Orlando that weekend as well. Gil and Lynn got to meet up with her (she found them on Facebook), but Lell, Glenn and I didnt make it. :(
